Status and a Target

It has been some time since updating the blog, but not much has been going on directly with the application. A wiki has been opened with pbwiki.com and there is some positive external activities occurring that will benefit melative in the future, notably the Nuclear framework.

Also, I have created a page for the API on the wiki, which is informative of the current capabilities. While the method-set is rather small (less than 20 methods), the ReST and user/media variations allow many more operations to be handled.

melative still aims to be the most media-involved application available, striving to enable users to really get close to the media they enjoy and meet others along the way. It’s a tough job, but post-implementation of nuclear it will be much cleaner to develop the data-layer of melative, and provide enough abstraction so that the web-interface may be open improvements.

While the web-interface is important, there is more priority in the development of stand-alone applications and extensions for interaction with the API.
